Skeg documentation¶
Skeg is an AI-driven UI testing tool for Android, iOS and macOS apps. You describe what to test. Skeg drives a real device, records evidence, and reports a verdict for each acceptance criterion.
Closed beta
Skeg is pre-release software. Accounts are invitation only. Use test devices, test accounts and test data only. Read the Beta Notice, linked from the terms screen at sign-in, before you connect a device.
Pick your path¶
-
I test apps (SQA)
Install the runner, connect a device, record or generate a plan, and read the results.
-
I build apps (developer)
Catch regressions on every change: make your app testable, let your coding agent verify on a device, and replay a suite in CI.
How the pieces fit¶
| Piece | What it does | Where it runs |
|---|---|---|
Website (www.getskeg.dev) |
The Skeg app: projects, plans, runs, chat, inspector. | Your browser |
API server (api.getskeg.dev) |
Stores projects and runs. Brokers work to runners. | Skeg's host |
| Skeg Runner | Desktop tray app. Connects your machine and its devices to Skeg. | Your computer |
| Device | Android emulator or phone, iOS simulator, or a macOS app. | Attached to your computer |
A run flows like this: you press Run plan in the website. The server sends the job to your paired Skeg Runner. The runner drives the device and streams steps, screenshots and the verdict back to the website.
